Itineray
This is a trail that we can do at any time of the day.
Leaving from El Chaltén, you cross the access bridge over the Fitz Roy River and go to the Los Glaciares National Park Visitor Center “Ceferino Fonzo”.
From here the trail will take us about 40 minutes to reach the Los Cóndores viewpoint. This path is of low difficulty and along the way we will cross a leafy sector of the Patagonian Andean forest, to experience the wildness of the environment.
Upon reaching the viewpoint, we will be able to appreciate the majestic and imposing landscape of frozen peaks surrounded by ancient glaciers.
This viewpoint takes its name because we can usually observe the magnificent flight of the Andean Condor at its summit, gliding imposingly in its natural habitat.
After enjoying the landscape, we will return to the town along the same path or take the path towards Mirador de Águilas.
This is a trail that we can do at any time of the day, even after the Mirador de Cóndores.
The path to the Las Águilas viewpoint begins at the signposted fork about ten minutes before reaching the Los Cóndores viewpoint.
This short trail has a gentle slope, which as it progresses reveals the large Viedma Lake on the horizon.
The viewpoint is a natural balcony with a panoramic view over the Patagonian steppe, the immense Viedma Lake to the south, Cerro Torre, Cerro El Chaltén (Fitz Roy), Cerro Huemul and Cerro Pirámide, among many others.
